CRARY BOOTS® - Frequently Asked Questions
Where do your leathers come from? All of our leather is sourced from two world-class tanneries: SB Foot USA and Steads of England.
Where do you manufacture your boots? Our boots are 100% handcrafted at our family-owned boot factory in Portland, OR USA. We are proud to utilize skilled American labor and pay our employees fair living wages.
What sizes do you offer? Men's Sizes: 7-13, 14, 15. Women's Sizes: 6-11, 12. We are currently offering our boots in a D width. We hope to offer more width options down the road. The Mt. Hood and Pacific Crest style of boots lend themselves to a wider foot by lacing to the toe and the way the instep opens up. If there is a fit issue, we will allow you to return the boots as long as the boots are in new / unused condition (see our Return Policy).
When will you make boots for folks with wider feet? As a start-up company, we are currently limited in our production and inventory capacity. As we continue to grow, we will extend our width offerings to accommodate a wider foot. In the meantime, wider widths can be accommodated by contacting our custom shoe division at www.craryshoes.com. Direct those emails to firstname.lastname@example.org. Prices will vary.
What if my boots don’t fit? We offer a 45-Day Fit Guarantee, so please just let us know if you purchased the wrong size and we will exchange your boots for the correct size or provide a full refund, as long as your boots are returned in new / unused condition and with proof of purchase / purchase date. You can find our Return Policy here, including our 45-Day Fit Guarantee. Note: we can only afford to make this offer for returned items with no signs of wear, which are undamaged and in their original packaging.
Do you offer a warranty on your boots? Yes, we do offer a 12-month limited warranty on all of our boots, which covers defects in material or craftsmanship. You can find our Limited Warranty Policy here.
How long does it take to get a refund on my returned item? Once we have received your boots, it will take 1-2 weeks to process your return for a refund. Once it is processed, please allow 4-5 business days for the credit to be applied and posted back to your account.
Do I need to break my boots in? Yes, a little breaking in will be necessary. Nevertheless, your boots should still feel comfortable when you first try them on.
Do you ship international? Yes. We ship to most countries. You can find our Shipping Policy here.
Where do you sell your boots? We sell direct-to-consumer on our website, www.craryboots.com. We also have a factory outlet store located at 14325 NE Airport Way, Suite 111, Portland, OR 97230.
What are your factory retail store hours? Our store hours are 11 am – 7 pm Tuesday – Saturday.
Why is there only one style for women’s boots? We plan on expanding our product offering to include multiple styles of women’s boots in the future.
Are your boots waterproof? Crary Boots are designed to handle inclement weather well. The Goodyear welt that we use to build all of our boots is the most durable construction and is highly water resistant. The naturally oily leather uppers handle the elements well. All of that being said, we do not use a Gore-Tex or other waterproof booty due to the degradation in shape and style of the boot.
It looks like you're sold out of the pair I wanted - when will they be back in stock? We are constantly in production to replenish boots that are out of stock. We can provide an estimate of when a certain boot will be able to ship if you email us the model, color and size of boot you are interested in at email@example.com.
Why are your boots so expensive? We refuse to sacrifice style, affordability, or quality. Because of this, Crary Boots offers multiple, unique styles, using only the highest grade leather available on the market and handcrafts boots from scratch. With qualities such as leather insoles, stainless steel shanks and fully leather lined interiors (among other attributes), Crary Boots are not disposable. By cutting out middlemen, we bring boots of vastly higher quality to the consumer for prices comparable to foreign-made footwear.
